“Beer” Graduation Invitation
October 30th, 2007 | Published in Design, Design Portfolio

Ah, a fun design job. Who can turn down a client that needs a beer-themed graduation invitation made? Certainly not me. The project was completely open to all ideas, and after much debate over which beer to feature on the invitation, I came up with the idea that it needed to feature the graduate’s very own beer. (Well, he really doesn’t have his own beer, but he’s trying to learn how to be a home brewer).
Jared (the grad) was receiving his PhD in chemical engineering, and so I thought it would be fitting to have the molecular structure of alcohol repeated in the background of the center of the label. Nice touch, I might say. Also, I made it a point to really customize the invitation with some copy related to chemistry and beer. And I had to add a teeny barcode to make the label seem real. Nothing in life is free, right?
So if you’re needing any beer-related print materials, feel free to contact me. I’m always up for fun design projects and alcohol.
