Tour de Cure

Brandon and I helped with Knoxville’s Tour de Cure for the American Diabetes Association yesterday. We had several friends that were riding in the event, and we decided to do our part and volunteer to assist with setup and rider registration. And that meant waking up at 4 a.m. on Saturday (painful!).

There were five different routes for riders. Cyclists could choose to ride 12, 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles. And I’d say of the 200+ participants, a majority of the riders were doing the 100-mile route! Amazing. We had one friend riding in the 100-mile race, another doing the 75 miler, and several more joining in the 50- and 25-mile rides. Many them also raised more than $500 each for the American Diabetes Association, too. Congrats to all of them!

After rider registration and set up for the finish line, I had some time to grab a few pics of the event. Click “more” to check out some photos. (Can you spot the clown?)
