We had a great engagement photo shoot at the UT Gardens with Christina and Chris. (I know, it’s cute that their names match!)

There was a possibility of heavy rain today, but our morning session was timed just right—and we were able to avoid a downpour. Thank goodness!

Christina and Chris are a lovely couple. Plus, they’re fun loving and wonderful to photograph. Chris, who I’ve known for a little more than a year now, is such a goof ball, so he makes any event a laugh riot. (If you check out the gallery, Chris insisted on a body-building pose for the two of them.)

The UT Gardens was the perfect backdrop for the couple. The summer flowers and full trees (and the surprise visit from the sun) really pumped up the LOVE and the energy for the photo shoot. I’ve taken portraits at the Gardens in the past, but it’s been several months since our last shoot, so I was happy to find new areas and paths around the place.

The couple is having an outdoor wedding this fall, and I’m totally psyched about taking their September wedding photos. The location is near Maryville College, where we just shot Morgan and Andrew’s wedding a couple of weekends ago. East Tennessee is really a beautiful place.

So congratulations to Christina and Chris! I’m looking forward to more photos as the two walk down the aisle!
