Box.net Makes Sharing Fun

I thought I had it all figured out when I started doing independent creative work. Project inquiries were filling up my e-mail inbox, but I was confident that I could take on the new work because I knew that my tools were in order. I had my Mac, my Wacom tablet, all the geeky tech stuff I thought I would need, and even a dotmac account (with 10 GB of space!) that was going to be used for file sharing between me and my clients. The whole setup was perfect, right? Well, not exactly.

As my work load increased over the coming weeks, I found myself working with multiple clients who either needed to send me large documents and who needed larger documents back from me. My iDisk wasn’t working the way I needed it to work, and the folders and galleries I set up on dotmac weren’t cutting it. I needed to find a good online file-sharing program or website, something made for collaboration (not just passing materials through), and I was lost.

I looked all over. High and low. Then I found Box.net. Hallelujah!

I’ve been using Box.net for several months now. It’s been a lifesaver. Not only can I quickly upload hundreds of megabytes at a time, but I can set up secured folders, secured documents, and easily link to files for download for my clients. And they don’t have to hassle with registering a username or password if all they need is to download some files. They just click and download. That’s it.

If you’ve been looking for a good and easy way to share documents, videos, presentations with others, you’ve got to try out Box.net. It really is an amazing tool, and the video below gives a quick overview of all that Box.net can do for you.
