Hooked on “Arrested Development”

It’s amazing what not having television will do. Brandon and I haven’t watched proper TV programming since September 2009, when we canceled our cable service from the most awful cable provider ever. So when we’re in the mood to watch a sitcom, we either stream old shows from Netflix or Hulu.

I recently discovered “Arrested Development” — almost seven years after it first aired. Better late than never, right?

I’m now “hooked” on the series (re: Buster’s hook in the 2005 “Hand to God” episode), and thanks to Hulu, I’m halfway through Season 2. (I’m sort of approaching the show “Memento” style though. Hulu doesn’t have Season 1, so I have to get the Season 1 discs from Netflix and watch those as I work my way through the second season online.) Unfortunately the show aired for three seasons only, and I really wish the funnies would last.

So what’s the show about? Check out this Wikipedia entry for a good overview of the story and the style, and click on the video links to watch some clips and full episodes from Hulu.
