Music Therapy
The past few days have been rough, so I decided to relieve some of the stress with a little beer and music therapy tonight. I jammed on my stylophone and guitar and sung gibberish into my mic that I plugged into my Behringer Virtualizer.
Yeah, I’m so rock ‘n’ roll.
Beer Bottling with the Ballentines
I should’ve been doing some work tonight, but instead Brandon and I decided to bottle our latest batch of homebrewed beer. This brew smells amazing and tastes awesome. Of course we had to sample a little bit of it before bottling. If you want to know what we made and the name of this brew, check out Brandon’s post.
Okay, back to work now…

Project 365 // Day 37
We’re making beer! Brandon and I made our first batch of mustard brown ale. Only one month left until we find out if we did a good job. Homebrewing requires much patience.

Project 365 // Day 31
Checking out the case of empty bottles that Brandon picked up at Allen Biermakens Homebrew Shop just down the road. He’ll be starting his first batch of beer in just a few days!

“Beer” Graduation Invitation

Ah, a fun design job. Who can turn down a client that needs a beer-themed graduation invitation made? Certainly not me. The project was completely open to all ideas, and after much debate over which beer to feature on the invitation, I came up with the idea that it needed to feature the graduate’s very own beer. (Well, he really doesn’t have his own beer, but he’s trying to learn how to be a home brewer).
Jared (the grad) was receiving his PhD in chemical engineering, and so I thought it would be fitting to have the molecular structure of alcohol repeated in the background of the center of the label. Nice touch, I might say. Also, I made it a point to really customize the invitation with some copy related to chemistry and beer. And I had to add a teeny barcode to make the label seem real. Nothing in life is free, right?
So if you’re needing any beer-related print materials, feel free to contact me. I’m always up for fun design projects and alcohol.
